With the pace of today's game, shooting off the pass has become an important skill to acquire.  This clip shows two great examples of two-touch backhand to forehand releases that resulted in goals.

What to Watch

  • Both players have already scanned the ice and are aware of space and available options
  • Hands are away from the puck when receiving to touch the puck to a spot where they can get a quick release
  • Players drive their shoulders to the net on their shot to generate power off the quick release
