U8 - Around the World of Sports
This practice uses inspiration from other sports to develop fundamental hockey skills in a fun and cognitively engaging way. In each small area game, players are making decisions on finding open space for themselves and teammates, reading pressure, and making decisions on how to best navigate to score or put up points.
Note that using this practice plan requires several different sporting objects, including soccer balls (small size), tennis balls and ringettes.
