  • Good Stance (knees over toes)
  • Stick is out off of the pads
  • Watch the puck all the way in, all the way out
  • Take the puck towards the heal of stick

  • On the ice blocker side
  • Deflect puck to corner

Progression #2

  • On the ice glove side
  • Deflect puck to corner

Progression #3

  • On the ice blocker side
  • deflect to corner
  • recover to post

Progression #4

  • On the ice glove side
  • deflect to corner
  • recover to post

Progression #5

  • Start at elbow of the crease
  • T-push to top middle of crease
  • deflect puck to corner
  • recover to post on side where you deflected the rebound
  • Repeat in opposite direction

Progression #6

  • Start at top middle of crease
  • Deflect puck to corner
  • Recover to the post in the direction where the puck was deflected
  • Push out to the elbow of the crease
  • Shuffle back to top middle of crease (starting position)
  • Repeat in opposite direction
