- the defense at the point move the puck D to D
- the defense down low try to box out the forwards so the goalie has a clean view of the shot
Points of Emphasis
- work hard for puck possession down low
- when the puck is moved to the point then get the puck to the middle of the ice for a quality shot
- shooters should be looking for tips and to create rebounds with their shot
- defenders down low need to box out and give the goalie a clean view of the shot
- defenders down low need to get the forwards stick off the ice to prevent tips and rebounds
