A simple reactionary hand-eye coordination drill that can be done all over the ice.

Setup:

  • A teammate or a coach flips a puck to another teammate, they knock it down and fire off a quick shot.
  • Variations:
    • If there are not enough nets, the player can knock the puck down and then pass the puck back to their teammate instead of shooting the puck!
    • Players can also use their backhand to knockdown the puck.

The game of hockey is increasingly becoming a game of skill. Learn how improving your hand-eye coordination can help with Tips, Deflections and Redirects in our IHS Skill Breakdown
