In this neutral zone forecheck system the first forward has to apply pressure to the opponents defense and force them to move the puck to the stong side.

F1

Pressures between defense and does not allow d to d pass. They need to force the defense to pass to the strong side.

F2

Locks on to the strong side wing and looks to create a turnover.

F3

Stays on the weak 1/3 side of the ice and stays on the defensive side of any opponent in this lane.

Strong Side Defense

Plays aggressive and stpes up on the center if the puck is passed to them. They are looking to create a turnover or force the dump.

Weak Side Defense

They play softer in the middle of the ice and should be the first player to the puck if it is dumped into the zone.
