This offensive zone hockey drill will have the forwards attacking the net from behind the goal line.  It is a slight variation of the previous drill where they were doing a give and go from the corner and shooting from the slot area.  This time they will do a quick give and go, but they will be receiving puck down behind the goal line and trying to come out in front of the net to make a play.  It is a great drill for goalies to work on holding the short side post as well.  Two lines of forwards are placed along the boards at about the top of the circles.  The first player in line will take three hard strides towards the goal line, transition backwards, receive a pass from the next player in line, give a pass right back to the next player in line, transition forward, and curl towards the net along the goal line. They will receive a pass back somewhere along the goal line and then try to make a play at the net. Encourage players to make one quick move out in front of the net.
