The Stickhandling Warm Up Series is a simple but helpful exercise that helps players warm up their hands before practice or a game. This can be setup as a station or half-ice setup. Players can work up and down the ice or you can allow them to move anywhere in a specified area.

Warm Up Series Progression:

  1. Top hand only, stickhandling around body
  2. Bottom hand only, stickhandling around body
  3. Two quick stickhandles, bring puck wide across body
  4. Hands together, bring puck out wide across body
  5. One puck with head up
  6. Keep two pucks under control
  7. Keep three pucks under control

Coaching Points:

  • Work on keeping your head up
  • Keep hands away from body
