This is the first variation in a series of drills designed to emphasize speed, the ability to catch a pass at full speed, attacking the blue line inside out, and driving to the net. This first variation has the forward catching a pass from the next player in line at full speed and attacking the blue line in an inside-outside manner.  This keeps the defense honest and if done correctly will typically get you access into the opponents zone.   The key is to keep the feet moving.  Good players will be able to change gears and accelerate as they approach the blue line which makes it even more difficult on the defense.  In this variation the shot comes while keeping your feet moving and the player is shooting between the cones as thought they are using the defense as a screen.  The next few variations offer some alternative moves for the sam situation.
