This is a drill that focuses on quick give and gos down low in the offensive zone.  Set up one line of players outside the blue line, the pucks in one corner, and a passer or coach in the corner with the pucks.  The first player (P1) will start in the high slot facing the pucks.  On the whistle, the player skates backwards for a few strides while the passer rims the puck to the other side.  P1 pivots and sprints to the puck, controls it along the wall, makes a pass to the passer down low, and then goes to the net for a return pass.  After the shot P1 sprints to the other corner and picks up a loose puck, transitions backwards while controlling the puck, and completes another give and go with the passer as they go to the net.

There are a couple of key points to communicate with the players.  First, the players should move their feet all the way to the loose puck.  Along the wall the players should make sure to stop the  puck with their skates so the puck cannot bounce over their stick.  The passer should make good hard passes from below the goal line and try to use one timers when possible so the players are thinking and playing "fast".
