5 sets x 30 yards This is as close to sprinting on ice as you can get without being on skates. The goal is to get the most explosion off of each foot as quick as possible. You are not as low to the ground as the previous drills. |

2 sets x 30 yards This is similar to the Skate Walks, but now you are jumping as you imitate the skating motion. You need to land and balance yourself on each foot for about three seconds before taking the next jump. |

2 sets x 30 yards Imitate the skating motion as bet you can. Go slowly and try to keep your head low to the ground with your chest up. Again try to keep your head on a level plane. As you imitate the skating motion, focus on the extension of each stride. |

2 sets x 30 yards Do lunges for 30 yards. Try to keep your head on a level plane, not bobbing up and down. It is a walk so talk you time. Your quads and butt should feel the burn. |

5 sets x 5 jumps From stand still, do five standing broad jumps in place. After the fifth rep take off on a 40 yard dash. Again, the ideal rest time is 1:30 for hockey players. |
