This ice hockey conditioning drill is a great drill to help build stamina in your legs as they will be working through the lactic acid build up. It is also intended to increase quickness as you should be in an all out sprint during the 20 second intervals. |

Most hockey players know that the only way to get into real hockey shape is to play hockey. These excercises will not get you into hockey shape by themselves. I think these have the most impact when they are done once a week in the midst of a good on-ice schedule. There are several variations of this workout and each one pretty much accomplishes the same thing, it is just a good idea to mix it up to prevent boredom or burnout. |
